This workshop is designed for beginners and for cameras from point-and-shoot to DSLR. During the day you will have the opportunity to put into practice what has been discussed in the classroom during the morning session.
Scotch Lodge Farm is a new venue for 2017 and is set in the rolling hills of Northamptonshire. This is a family run working farm with a farm shop, craft shop and herb centre.
The morning session will be classroom based with several breaks outside get to grips with what you have learnt. Theory is one thing but there’s nothing better than to try it for yourself.
After lunch (included) Mark will take you for a half-mile walk to Sywell Country park where you will walk around the former reservoir. There will be an opportunity to photograph the original Edwardian pump house and buildings plus the wildlife that live around and on the water. A visit to the butterfly garden for you to try your hand at macro photography is also a possibility.
Due to the large expanse of the reservoir and the terrain we recommend that you bring appropriate footwear (walking boots) and outdoor clothing suitable for the day. Sunscreen and insect repellent can be useful depending on the weather.
We meet at 9:30am for tea/coffee and introductions and will finish at approx. 4pm.
Hot drinks will be available during the classroom session and lunch is provided. Please contact us if you have any special dietary requirements before booking.
